| Sold : Poker.org (but Sex.com will be available soon) |
May you be in search of some valuable domain names, poker.org isn't available anymore. Domain selling platform Sedo sold the domain name for $1 million to PokerCompany.com. Never before that much was paid for a dot org domain.
PokerCompany allready owned the domains BlackJack.org, EveryPoker.com en RakeBack.org, well known names for everyone with a gambling habit and a credit card.
Sex.com $1 million may be a record for a dot org extension, but for a dot com extension you have to pull a much bigger wallet. For example, Insure.com swapped owners last year for a stunning $16 million and Sex.com was sold for $14 million in 2004.
On March 18th, the worlds most famous domain again goes under the hammer because current owner Escom seems to have some financial problems. If your interested you first have to deposit $1 million to the New York law firm Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf.
