Fajah Lourens, famous actrice from the dutch tv soap 'Goeden Tijden, Slechte Tijden', is playing in the Master Classics of poker that started last yesterday in Amsterdam.
All competitors, including Fajah, paid 6200 euro's to take part in the most important poker tourney of the Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg).
The total price poule is 2,4 million euro and the estimated first price will be around 700.000 euro. Last year the Norwegian guy Trond Eidsvig won the first price and took home a smashing 620.000 euro.
In an earlier tournament, the VIP days in Venlo, Fajah finished 11th for the main event.
She said : "All went very well in Venlo. Everything I did was good. I was a bit lucky one time when i had KQ. There was a Q on the deck and i went all in against Aces, thank god another K came on the river. "
"The way I got eliminated was a bit silly tough. I had absolutely nothing, but a spectator winked at me when another player raised on the river. I tought he ment that he didn't have anything, so i went all in and the other player snap-called me."
"That was just stupid of me, i played my own game the whole day, and everything went smooth. So stupid...i ran out of the casino and drove off immediately.
