Alan Lake, a british engineer of Thorney Leys, won the Sunday Warm Up on PokerStars after a nine hour tournament. The tournament started with 4.557 competitors.

He said: “It was quite surreal really. You start on with nine people at a table, and you play until there is only one table with nine people who have knocked all the others out. As each person was knocked out, I was looking at how much money there was."

“I think I would have been done for if I hadn’t won it, but there was just a lot of adrenaline, even though I had to go to work at 6am."
